In a custom workspace view, why does it open a new tab when i click a card?

My team created their own personal views from the workspace view sections but every time they click a card from that view, it opens up a new tab which takes more time to load and add's a few unecessary steps each time. Is there a setting or some way to change that?

It would be great if this issue could be looked at and resolved - new tabs popping up all over the place is quite frustrating, and not helpful for the workflow. When using the desktop app it's even more annoying - a new instance of the app is opened each time a card is opened from a custom workspace view.

At the moment, it is not possible to change the behavior of opening a new tab when clicking to open a card from that view. This is a native feature of the Trello Workspace View, and there is no configuration option available to change this setting.
