Hi

Is there a feature to stop assignees from changing the due date on a card once it's been set by me?

Or a feature to notify me when someone else changes the due date?

Thanks

Hi @Lori Tappy ,

You can try out our Board Permissions Power-Up (https://trello.com/power-ups/67069f9b78778bc08e9ad726/board-permissions-handy-power-ups-pack) which allows you to restrict this specific permission (and many others).

Disclaimer: It's a part of a paid suite of Handy Power-Ups Pack. Pricing with workspace plan starts at $4 per month when billed annually.

Let me know if you have any questions.

If you watch a card then you will get a notification anytime someone changes the due date. https://support.atlassian.com/trello/docs/watching-cards-lists-and-boards/

To add to what @Gaurav Kataria put, you can use automations to make things more noticeable too.

Using the moved in means it is only triggers when the date changes in a card with an existing date set...

Hi @Lori Tappy ,

You can do the same by modifying your workflow :

Utilize Workflow Conditions and Transition Screens:

  • Remove the "Due Date" field from the standard edit screen to prevent direct modifications.
  • Create a workflow transition (e.g., a self-looping transition) that includes a screen with the "Due Date" field.
  • Apply conditions to this transition to restrict its execution to specific users or roles, thereby controlling who can modify the "Due Date.
