Bulk import of items in dropdown list

Hi, I need to add approx. 200 items to a dropdown custom field and I want to avoid having to add each item individually if possible.

Is there a way of bulk importing values into a dropdown list, instead of having to add each one manually?

Definitely possible with code but 200 options is a lot of options. 
Do read this post, there may be a limit on the number of options
