Automation to add a checklist from specific card not working

When I go to create a rule about adding a checklist to a card whenever it is moved into a certain list, the list names from my board populate but the card names and checklist names are not populating so the automation isn't working.

I've tried linking to the card and typing in the name of this list anyhow but nothing happens.

Any luck fixing this?

Hi,

I am fairly new to Trello but recently managed to get something similar working.

From what I understand the cards/checklists do not have a selection like Lists do in the automation.

You just have to make sure they are typed the same (I find it best to copy & paste).

Example:

when a card is added to list "Supplier Disputes",
add the "Tasks" checklist from card "Template" to the card

I had to manually type Tasks & Template into the boxes.

My list name is Supplier Disputes. On the card named Template is where the Tasks checklist lives.

As a note, you can remove the "from card XYZ" and it will find the first matching checklist name.

I hope this helps. If not it might be worth sending your automation as a reply to help troubleshoot.

Kind Regards,

Cameron

If you only have 1 checklist in your template card, you can also put "add the {*} checklist from the card...

I would also suggest keeping in the card part because you want to be sure you pull the checklist from the template and not another card that has the template that has been modified
