Where is the Epic Link Field?

The only option I have to add an Issue to an Epic is to select the ellipse (...) and choose the option "Actions: Add to Epic".

This field is not available on the Issue screen and therefore I cannot upload Issues and link them to Epics.

I have also added Epic Links to the View Field Configuration on the Default Screen but this does not make the field appear.

How can I add the Epic Link field to the Issue screen to ensure that I can populate this field when uploading Issues

Thank you for your help.

I found the issue, i'm using a next-gen project which from what i can see is lacking in a lot of features and not documented.

Classic Project works normally
