Will it be possible to have multiple roadmaps in a project in Jira Cloud? I would have different deployments for different clients and want to keep the roadmaps separately. Is there a way so that I have roadmaps.
HI Niju,
The Roadmap is tied to the board and currently it is not possible to create a board other than the default board for next-gen project. The next-gen projects are standalone board based designed as a 1 to 1 relationship of board to project. Roadmaps and boards of Next-gen projects are configured based in a JQL filter, just like the classic projects.
However, the difference between Classic and Next-gen project is that this JQL filter can be edited on Classic projects, but not in next-gen yet.
So, you would not be able to reconfigure the filter used by a board to have different outcomes, and as the board to project filter is a 1 to 1 mapping you would also be limited to a single roadmap per project.
That been said, we have the following feature request to implement configurable filters for next-gen boards that would allow for expanding in this way, by being able to configuring custom next-gen filters allowing for custom boards:
Make sure to add a vote to the request to show your interest per the Implementation of New Features Policy and you can add yourself as a watcher to get updates when implemented.
Regards,
Earl
