In a classic project, I could search for all children by doing "Epic Link" = ABC-123 but in a next gen project, this doesn't seem to work. Has anyone found a way around this?
I would love to do that too, seems like something very basic that should be available...
I am also trying to do the same thing. I don't see any Epic from next gen project while creating a filter. Only epics from old gen projects appear. It seems to me that next gen Epic is actually not an Epic.

Thanks to the thread posted in the answer above, this worked for me for a next gen project:
parent = TEST-123
