How do I stop closed Epics showing in the select epics list on tickets?

I have marked completed Epic's as Done, I dont want to delete the Epic as I want to still track these on the roadmap. 

Completed Epic's are showing when I want to attach tickets to an Epic, which means I constantly selecting an Epic which is closed. 

Any help would be very much appreciated

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

Checking the details you provided, I believe that this issue is related to a bug on the new issue view/next-gen where it's not possible to filter closed and opened epics to show on the dropdown list.

Please, click on "This affects my team" and also watch the bug to receive future updates.
