Today there is an option to delete the component, however, it will erase the historical information on the status page.
Is there a way to disable/hide a component, and continue to display the historical information related to that component on the status page?
Hello @naveena
Thank you for contacting the Atlassian community!
With the current product design If a component is deleted, its historical data gets deleted with it. However, you can make use of the Statuspage API option of "only_show_if_degraded": true as specified in the API documentation here.
This will allow you to hide the component from the web but it will be visible externally whenever you change the component status to "Degraded performance" and will again disappear once you change it back to Operational.
I would like to additionally add that we have a feature request open with our engineering team to be able to have this enabled as a default option even in UI.
I hope the information provided is helpful.
