Can dates be removed from maintenance notifications?

Hi team,

One of our vendors is migrating their Production environment. It was originally planned for 10th June but has now been postponed with no confirmed new date. I would like to communicate this delay to customers via StatusPage, however because we don't have confirmed dates I am struggling to figure out a way to achieve this.

  • Is it possible to send out a maintenance notification with a date of TBC/TBD?
  • Alternatively, is it possible to send out an incident notification without the word 'incident' or the status (Identified, Monitoring etc.) in it?

Failing both of the above, does anyone have any suggestions for this use case?

Thanks,

Chris

Hey Chris,

Thanks for reaching out to Atlassian Community!

I'm afraid that there's no possibility to trigger maintenance without a date, but what you can do is update the maintenance day to later, let's say a few months, add a note that the dates will be announced later (as an example) and then trigger a notification to everyone.

It'll look something like this:

It shows the start time and the estimated duration*

I know it's not the best scenario, but this is the only way to notify all of your subscribers using Statuspage.

Otherwise, you can copy subscribers list and then trigger a notification from your work email.

I hope this helps, please let me know if you got any other questions.

Thanks,

Egor

Thanks Egor. Agreed, not the best solution, but a solution of sorts. Thanks for your response.
