You haven't said what system this is, or explained what "link data to drop down function" really means. Or even what "drop down" means - a field? Menu? Something else?

In Jira, you enter the options in a field's option list. For the menus in most applications you can add web-items via code. And so-on. But we kind of need a clear explanation of the question before we can tell you much.

Excel spreadsheet, I have drop down working but having problems getting data linked so correct data displays when changing drop down
