We are currenly working with jira 3.13.
I want to move up to the most current version, but I wonder whether it would be better to
- Back-up all data to XML
- Start a new jira-environment (from scratch)
- Restore all data
Or whether it would be better to upgrade the old environment (we are far behind!)
it will be a multi-step upgrade as you can't go from 3.13 to 6.x directly. If you have lot of customizations in your environment, you will have to upgrade them and test it in a test environment, to be sure that everything works fine after upgrade.
