hi,

first of all thank for Advanced Searching capability that you have added to jira,

my problem:i need to know the number of issues. in fact when i search a criteria in any kind of searching, jiragives me all the issues that fit that criteria, but i need to know how many they are. i need this numbers as the input of a function that defines for example my efficiency index. would you tell me if there is a gadget that gives me these numbers?

thanks

The number of issues is shown on the issue navigator, and in several other places. Many of the gadgets will give you that result - try the "issue statistics" for example. For that one specifically, you choose a field to report on, so you could choose something simple like "project" and it'll give you the totals from your filter for each project.
