Why Jira can not display a query in simple simple whereas it could do it in JIRA 5 ?

Since the update of Jira in 6.2.11, the behaviour of this issue navigator has changed about the simple mode (basic) and advanced mode.

In JIRA 5, some queries could be displayed in simple mode, but now in JIRA6, the advanced mode is displayed by default and it is impossible to come back in simple mode. This behaviour happen on some complex queries.

For the same query, why Jira could display it in simple mode in JIRA5 and now in JIRA6 it can not do it ?

There were some issues in 5 where swapping back to the simple view actually removed some of the complexities the user had added in advanced mode.  6 chooses not to loose them, and is more ready to refuse to swap back when the detail will be lost.
