Does the macro work to allow tweets coming in from more than one follower?

I'm sorry to say that the Twitter macro can only handle tweets coming from one person, or a search, but it cannot handle multiple users or hashtag searches as explained in this document: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Widget+Connector+Macro#WidgetConnectorMacro-Twitter
