We are going to implement this way of issue creation. A concern is about its impact on performance. Could it be estimated in some way before the implementation? Or in comparison with a regular way?
It will depend on the daily load of messages that the mail box will receive.
I would say that the best way to estimate the performance impact, is installing a test instance, and force a high load in the incoming mail.
I don't think that there is other way to estimate the performance impact of the mail handler.
