If you’re wanting to modify the Confluence default editor with a different feel or interaction then we would suggest reviewing the marketplace for an app which will accommodate this. There are multiple apps in the marketplace which bring different editorial experience to Confluence then we would suggest testing the ones that meet your requirements within a staging instance first. You may find these apps at a preset search for Atlassian Marketplace | Confluence Editor.
