Are you on the very latest version of firefox? If not, then try an upgrade. If you are, then report the fault to Atlassian!

Hmm. It works in another browser, so I wasn't thinking of proxy issues. Maybe Firefox is more fussy about something reverse proxy is doing.
Could you tell us what your reverse proxy settings are for that virtual host, and what the Tomcat connector looks like in server.xml?

Hello Kostantin,
Is there any displayed error about those actions ?
Case if it's not related to permissions, try to replicate these operations while looking at your log files (<JIRA-INSTALL>/logs/catalina.out) in order to find the problem's root cause

Trying to attach files, I saw one of the following messages: * JIRA could not attach the file as there was a missing token. Please try attaching the file again. * Unauthorized * Client must be authenticated to access this resource * nothing (progress bar goes to end, green checkmark appears, but file is not attached) Trying to re-assign issue, I see the following message: * Nothing (sometimes it works) * The JIRA server was contacted but has returned an error response. We are unsure of the result of this operation. or * Session Expired You have been logged out because you have not used JIRA for approximately 5 hours. Latest stable ones, as stated at https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Supported+Platforms
Inability to attach files, reassign and work with sprints is nothing to do with the browser, it's the permissions you've got set in the JIRA project.

Checked in chrome - no issue with attaching file & re-assigning issues. Cannot do it in firefox.

Ok, good test. I've got Firefox 39 on this old laptop here and I've just tried it and it works fine. I'd say you've got a firefox plugin or setting blocking it.
