Which version of Maven to install on ubuntu VM to use JIRA CLI?

The Atlassian SDK link didn't provide much information regarding which version of Maven to install in order to run mvn compile.
Jira is running on an Ubuntu VM.

That was a bit old. I updated it since the Atlassian SDK includes maven now.
