Is it possible to logon with a smartcard to JIRA or Confluence? What is neccesary to do for that in our company?

Thanks

You'd need to find or write a new authenticator that can pick up authentication from the card hardware.

Hi Andreas,

We're looking at this at the moment and we do have a smart card provider (hardware/software) working with us. Drop me an email on pch@extensi.io with all the details and we'll discuss this in prv.

Cheers

Prem

Another solution would be to implement smart card logon for desktop authentication and then rely on Kerberos for Jira/Confluence authentication. There are several Kerberos plugins on the Atlassian marketplace, including IWAAC Kerberos SSO: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.cleito.iwaac/server/overview
