Jira not getting my Gravatar picture

U47 July 12, 2012

Hey there,

I have gravatar profile pix turned on in Jira 5.1 but it doesn't appear to be pulling the picture. Gravatar only allows lower-case email addresses, but my email address which Jira gets from Crowd has capital letters. Could this be causing trouble? Anyone else having issues with Gravatar pix?

Thanks,

Graham.

Hi Graham,

It seems that it is a bug on JIRA side as Gravatar do mentioned that the e-mail address should have been lower case. You might want to review the bug report below and see if the patch help:

Hello neither JIRA or Confluence are taking my gravatar picture, I can see that they are trying to get the image, but the url is not the correct one:

https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/831d25e69888788c735843d10e20d43b?d=mm&s=48

It should be this one:

https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/71d17a78c8587de29ffd14bcd9b9f2db?d=mm&s=48

My email address is in lower case on JIRA and Confluence. Do you know what is going on?

Thanks,

Yesy.
