Jira commit error

We get an error from a pre-commit hook stating that "directory 'remote crowd directory' is not functional during authentication of 'username'. The error doesn't occur every time, appears to happen randomly, and we can't recreate it (make it happen).

We use Jira and Subversion with both using Crowd to authenticate users from AD.

Has anyone come across this before and, if so how did it get fixed

Hi Nick,

There can be various reasons for this, most likely the AD synchronization fails on Crowd end from time to time, or Crowd itself is not reachable for various periods. Can you please check your JIRA logs for more information around these periods? Very likely there will be additional hint on the cause.

Kind regards,

Peter
