I can hide a tab on the edit screen using the name rather than number, but the name will not work on the transition which is a pain because they are in different order on edit and transitions screens.

Why does the name not work on transition screen?

Hi @Rob B

The inconsistency you're experiencing with hiding tabs on Jira screens stems from differences in how Jira handles tab names and ordering between edit screens and transition screens. Jira's limited flexibility in screen layout, particularly for transition screens, contributes to this issue.

Specifically, edit screens have a more stable and consistent tab structure, allowing tabs to be hidden using their names. In contrast, transition screens are unique to each transition and often have varying tab structures, making it challenging to hide tabs consistently. This discrepancy leads to the inconsistent behavior you're observing.
