Jira Bitbucket integration using webhook

Ahsan February 11, 2020

As there is no trigger for approved commit from Bitbucket to Jira, I am trying to use webhooks from Bitbucket to update the Jira issue.

Setting up the webhook in Bitbucket was no problem but where in Jira can I process the received data from Bitbucket webhook ?

Thanks in advance

It's not totally clear what is the automation you're trying to implement, but the Better DevOps Automation app offers various methods to update or transition issues (along the workflow). You can trigger these automations by commits and pull requests, and its is integrated with Bitbucket, too.

If you describe your use case in details, I should be able to give more help.

Hello Ahsan,

You have to add a trigger to some transition in your workflow scheme in Jira. There are 4 possible trigger options in Jira Server 8.14.1:
