For Jira / Confluence: Is there a way to generate an automated and weekly scheduled email to all board members for a certain filter. (E.g. updated tasks that were set to done in the previous 7 days)

Hello @[deleted]

Shure, here is documentation, also if one filter is for everyone, you can add them to the group and then send the filter subscription to a group.

Don't forget to share the filter permissions.

It's all written in the documentation.

If you need any assistance setting this up just write here :)

Hi Olga,
Thank you very much! The setup worked fine, but the mail is just showing me the resolution of the corresponding issues. Where can i edit what is shown in the mail?

Thanks in advance,

Stefan

Hello @[deleted]

Ahh, these are filter default fields

Okay go to your saved filter

  • You should be in a list view and you should see columns in the right
  • There select a filter and choose which fields you want to apply in your filter, Save

Filter Subscriptions are a great option for individual users or small teams to send this type of notification. However they suffer from limitations around management at scale, and users having difficulty with sharing the subscription and the filter correctly.

If you're looking for a more top down way of accomplishing this type of behavior, we often see users of Notification Assistant for Jira configuring Notifications for use cases like this.

Depending on how your data is organized in Jira, you may be able to configure a single notification which sends independent emails to every team with the right contents based on project role memberships. We also support customizing the template if you need something more robust than a simple list.

If you can share more details about how you organize data in Jira, we may be better able to help.

Hi @[deleted]

Yes, you can.

Please use the below query to get the details

1) Create a Query:

2). Save this filter Query.

3). Go to Details and click on New Subscription

4). Now select the Schedule Daily and set the Interval as per your needs.

You need to have the global permission "Manage Group Filter Subscriptions"
