Is there a way to disable the default auto selection of text in Description or other text fields?

I think the default behavior of all text being selected when clicking a text field (e.g., Description) is a recent implementation. This becomes a problem, and results in some behavior modication on the user side, if the user presses any key and then clicks outside of the field the previous field contents are gone. If you are the reporter or watcher of the story/bug then you will get an email message containing the removed text that you can use to past it back into the story, but this is really a hassle.

Anyone else having this probme, and is there a way to disable this auto-selection when entering a text field?

Thanks,

Fred

Yes, you can disable it by going to:

Administration > General Configuration

The last option is the Inline edit. Just need to turn it OFF.

Hope that helps.
