Is there a backup validation tool for JIRA/Confluence backups?

We backup our cloud-based installation regularly and store offsite.  We don't have a way to test whether or not the backups would restore properly.  Is there a backup validation tool?

Hi Sandra,

There is not a backup validation tool, but provided the backup came from Cloud, was made within the last week or so, and was not modified, then it would restore properly.

Older backups may not work as expected due to a version mismatch so please keep this in mind when storing backups in an archive.

We do have a feature request to validate the checksum:

This would help you to determine that it wasn't corrupted when downloading the backup from your Cloud site. Please feel free to vote on and watch that feature request if it is something you would like to see in the future.

I hope this helps, but do let us know if you have any questions about any of this.

Kind Regards,
