Incomplete issues don't move to next sprint when sprint is shared by multiple boards

Shaindil Kumar December 3, 2020

I have multiple boards but sprint is created in only one board and is used by all boards. The sprint is created from one of the boards. Starting and closing the sprint from one the boards works across the boards. But when the sprint is closed and the option of moving the tasks to next sprint is chosen, the incomplete tasks are only moved to next sprint only for the board from where the sprint is closed. For all other boards, the incomplete tasks are moved to backlog.

Is there any solution for this issue?

Hello @Shaindil Kumar

Welcome to the community.

Do the boards have different filters?

If you have multiple boards using this sprint but each board with a different filter and showing a different subset of issues, then the likely cause is that when you close the sprint from board X, I expect that it is moving only the incomplete issues in that sprint that also show in board X.

If you want to move all the incomplete issues in the sprint from all the various boards to the next sprint, then you will need a master board with a filter that encompasses all the issues that show across all the boards.
