If I archive a project component is it archived for all projects?

Hello,

I'm doing some cleanup on our JIRA setup and we have a large number of components. If I find that a component is no longer used in a given project, can I archive that component just for that project or if I go to the project->components->archive, will it archived that component for all projects?

Hi @Scott Gray ,

because a component is something defined per project basis, archiving a component means that it is archived just for that project.
