Our Jira server is hosted on our local domain. We have root domain controller and local domain controllers also hosted on the same domain. We have other sites that connect to Jira and these sites each have their own local domain controllers with their own domain names. I have successfully imported the root domain controller certificate and that has allowed me to connect to the external domain controllers and pull user accounts. I would like to manage Jira access through and Active Directory group on our local DC. I had a universal group created to do this. I am able to add members from every domain in this group, but when i check in Jira, those members are not in the group.
Is there some combination of DN/User/Group filters that allows this? My goal is to manage all users through our local group since I can't manage any external groups and that would lead to me losing control of our licenses.
