How to sync two different jira Instance?

We are working on two different Jira and it belongs to different parties, but there is a need to sync the issues in two projects in these two seperate jira.

For example, any issues created in Project A in Jira 1 should have the same in Project B in Jira 2, and all the comments and updates of the status should be synced to the other Jira if there is any.

Don't need to synce all the projects but just the Project A and Project B.

Hi there,

The easiest way to achieve this will be by using a synchronization add-on.

You'll be able to synchronize any issue data of the other party over to your instance in the project you choose.

This will happen in real-time. That way, you'll always be in the loop on progress status, comments, attachments and even work-logs or change history.

You'll be able to easily customize exactly what you'd like to sync and who you'd like to sync it with.

It will look like the following example. We used the Exalate Issue Sync app to do this. (We are the developers of the app).

Let us know if you need any help setting it up.

If you want, I can show you exactly how it would work for your use case through a one-on-one demo. You can book one here: Book A Demo.

Another add-on you can try would be Backbone Issue Sync for JIRA.

Backbone allows you to set up a sync between multiple JIRA projects, even across different JIRA instances. By doing so, you can collaborate across departmental and B2B borders, but still each party will work in their own JIRA instance.

You can test it for free using a 30-day evaluation license in the Atlassian Marketplace. If there are any questions during the evaluation, please feel free to get in touch with our K15t Software Support Team, we'll be happy to help smile

Cheers,
Nils

ConnectALL connects JIRA to JIRA to ...

You can see our video at: http://youtu.be/boI3WXBYXy8

The video shows one JIRA to one JIRA OnDemand.

It could just as easily be JIRA to JIRA to OnDemand to, etc...

ConnectALL supports M to M to M integrations of JIRA, JIRA OnDemand, TFS, Quality Center, DOORS, ClearQuest, Rally, SeaPine, etc.

Go2Group is preparing our ConnectALL Partner &Reseller Program. Contact us for more information.

That is not possible out of the box.

You could create two application links and link specific projects. This way you can easiliy link issues between the JIRA instances and the activity stream for both projects will be merged.

Have a look at ConnectAll as well. It can help you sync JIRA with another JIRA or few other products. You can choose the project(s) and issuetype(s).

CLI Plugin for JIRA can help with some scenarios.

Month ago we have just released advanced JIRA Synchronizer at

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.intenso.jira.plugins.synchronizer

It allows to synchronize particular Project/Issue Types with fields/comments/attachments/workflows between two (or more) JIRA instances.
