How to export sprint report information in to excel?

I want to export the sprint report data from JIRA in to excel, so that I can create few customized metrics based on the details.

You can recreate your sprint reports (and other Jira agile related reports) and export to Excel with an app like our Better Excel Exporter for Jira. You can see some examples of what's possible here and read more about the details here.

I can see that you are new here, welcome!

Unfortunately, currently it is not possible to download and export sprint reports in Jira, however, Atlassian has the following feature request:

• Ability to export the Sprint reports into a common format.

Searching on community it seems that another way you could download and edit the sprint report is to use an add-on like eazyBI or Arsenale Dataplane to redo your own report (see examples here and here).
