Hello Community,
We had an old Jira 4 instance that we migrated properly to a Jira 8.
In Jira 4, when attachments in an issue were displayed as a list, each attachment was displayed with an icon matching its file type (pdf, image, word file, ...).
In Jira 8, all files are displayed with the same generic file icon.
This is considered a regression by our end users, because there are issues with a HUGE amount of attachments with very long names, thus the UI truncates the file names (making the extension undisplayed). The users were used to sort the files at glance by just looking to the filetype icons, and would like to get this behaviour back.
Do you know if it is possible to get back these filetype icons in Jira 8?
Kind regards
I haven't touched anything regarding attachment icons (nor have I found any option under system configuration) and my icons are different.
check the folder: .../jira/app/atlassian-jira/images/icons/attach/ and make sure you have different icons ready to be used
