Moving my mouse over the top (dark blue) menu bar in Jira often causes a huge popup menu to appear and obscure a good portion of the page (usually the most important stuff) LOL.
Is there ANY way to disable these hover-activated menus, so that the menus popup ONLY if I actually purposely CLICK on the menu bar items?
I've gotten pretty good at remembering when I use Jira to move the mouse all the way to the bottom of my display, then go around the perimeter of the browser window to avoid passing over the menu bar. Some of these popup menus can be quite large and thus cover a sizable portion of the page contents - oftentimes covering JUST what I want to read.
It gets annoying really fast as I work more and more with Jira. Please tell me there's a setting or profile option somewhere that makes it less easy to cover my page with popup menus.
Thanks,
Tim
I wish I had an answer. I'm adding a comment to tell Atlassian to get their act together about hovers: In Confluence, the left side nav menu pops out EVERY SINGLE TIME I move my cursor near it or across it, no matter what I'm doing (incl. just moving to another browser window or trying desperately to move my cursor in a way that doesn't hover-activate SOMETHING. Is this supposed to be helpful? Not only is it annoying, it's incredibly distracting and has already caused me to lose my train of thought dozens of times in just a few weeks. END HOVER MENUS, please.
Got to personal settings --> disable "page card hover"

I hate to add a "me too" comment, but seriously!?! How can we get Atlassian to fix this?
I use the uBlockOrigin addin, and _as a workaround_, I have created a filter to remove:
jira.com###ak-side-navigation
If I want to see the sidebar (rare), I can turn off cosmetic filtering in the addin.
