How to change name of Workflow

Question

Hi All,

I have associated one workflow named as 'MYJ Workflow' to one project called 'OKTA'.This workflow was associated to many other projects as well. Now we have to change the name of workflow to this project.

-Thing is if i try to change name it will change in other projects as well which we don't want. -I can copy this workflow,change the name and associate it to project again. But the problem here is there are already lot of issues are created for this project 'OKTA'. Now if i create new workflow it will effect already existing issues i suppose.

Can any one please check and help here to get the workflow name changed.

Hello,

If the new workflow is the same as the old one, you can create a copy as  @Jack Brickey told you. If the status of the workflow are the same, the system will change without problems. If something fails, before migration the system advice you with warnings.

If you are sharing a workflow, which you are here, then it can only have one name. What you can do is copy the workflow, give the copy a new name and then associate that new workflow with your one project.
