How to change Unresolved By Assignee In my project


we are using JIRA in our organization.

I have a project with many issues.

When I go to Projects->Issues, there I get all the issues sorted like:

Unresolved by priority,

Unresolved by assignee,

Status summary.

Unresolved by issue type.

So all these are filtered with the criteria: Resolution= Unresolved.

I would like to have the date for resolution=New.

How can I change this.I dont see any possible way to configure this.

Any help is much appreciated.

Well, first, you can't change the default reports without doing a little bit of coding. I'd recommend not changing the default filters anyway, as they're widely used in reporting and very useful. Adding other ones appropriate for your usage is ok, and definitely the recommended route.

But there's an implied problem here as well.

You want "resolution=new" - it would be a disaster to replace "resolution=unresolved" with this because Jira labels unresolved issues as unresolved. If the resolution is "new", then the issue IS resolved, so you've got completely contradictory text and behaviour.

I'd also point out that having a resolution option of "new" is almost certainly nonesense because the issues will behave as they are resolved.
