Currently we are using Jira between multiple departments. Each project is for each department. In general, we escalate and link issues between departments for visibility. For example, someone sends in a request for a purchase of a new computer. This would involve multiple departments such as purchasing and IT. When these requests transfer between departments, the issue is cloned and linked using Scriptrunner. When the issue is cloned and linked, everything gets copied between projects including the comments. Now we have two issues in JIRA, one in IT and one with Purchasing department. The problem is that users and mangers are confused which ticket to comment at once the ticket has been cloned and linked. For instance a comment in the IT ticket does not copy the comment onto the Purchasing ticket and vice versa. This creates fragmented communication.
As soon as a user comments on an issue, how can we copy comments between linked issues in different projects immediately?
