Configure Email Subject

  • I want to configure the new version to have the generated
    email notifications include the status of the ticket at each stage in subject:

    Example: Subject:[JIRA] Created: (CTT-xxxx)
    [JIRA] Assigned: (CTT-xxxx)
    [JIRA] Resolved: (CTT-xxxx)
    [JIRA] Reopened: (CTT-xxxx)
    [JIRA] Closed: (CTT-xxxx)
    currently with the new jira s/w 7.4 we only see Subject:[JIRA] (CTT-xxxx)
     Having these statuses in the email subject was very helpful,
    especially for setting up Outlook email Rules.

Hi Venkata,

It seems like you may have modified your Velocity templates.  There was an old post from JIRA 4.x where someone mentioned the loss of this functionality as well and the velocity templates needed to be modified in order to get this back.

You can modify the email templates using the information in Customizing email content

Another option would be to use an add-on such as Jirassimo Emails Reminder Notifications.
