Hello,
Is there a way to automatically have the computername in a ticket when a client/user creates a ticket?
We have an on prem system to support only our business.
The computername could be found from the environmental settings %computername%, but I'm not sure if Jira can access that.
Any help would be appreciated.
thank you
hello Johan,
Thank you for reaching out.
Unfortunately, JIRA does not have a functionality to automatically fill the hostname of the user machine when he creates a ticket, however, we understand how relevant this information might be in a helpdesk support base.
That being said, we have reported the following feature request to get it implemented in JIRA Service Desk:
Fill out hostname of customer when he is creating an issue
Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.
For now, you can use the third-party plugin Extension for Jira Service Desk to get the hostname address of the issue's reporter, as described in the documentation below:
Let me know if this information helps.
The proposed solution in one to purchase?
When do you see this change implemented?
Thank you
