We have cloning feature access restricted restricted to a particulare role in JIRA.

If user is part of that role he should be able to clone the ticket.

The problem is users are able to clone the tickets however its not working only for one particular issue type. we dont have any condition restricted to issue type.

on my test enviroment it is working fine.

i have tried restarting my JIRA instance howver that didnt help.

Please advice.

I think you need to establish what's different about that issue type, and compare it with whatever method you are using to restrict the user by role.

This isn't really much we can help you with here - you've not explained how you're doing most of this setup or even how the problem manifests, so I'm afraid most of the answer is "you need to debug your system"

Thanks Nic. There was some issue with "Summary field". we have writeen a JQL so that summary should have some text bydefault. That script was broken and that the reason behind it.
