All closed issues automatically default to Fixed resolution

When we select different resolution from list, all closed issues defaults to Fixed even when resolution was not Fixed. Tried clearing default and this did not help.

I assume this is during a transition that "closes" the issue? 

Check the transition in the workflow for "post-functions", I think you have one in there that says "set resolution to fixed" - this will override what your people are choosing on screen as it happens after their selection.

Thanks for the prompt response.

I found post-function " The Resolution of the issue will be set to Fixed." Removed, even restarted Jira and issue persists.

Looks like workflow post function might have set to have this resolution value. if yes you can clear it
