I want to grant acces to a user only to enter worklog. nothing else. how could we acheive that

We need to have Developer role to enter work log(Time spent).

However if Developer role is given then there aremany other things like editing of the issue is still possible, which we dont wnat to provide.

So what should be done to acheive this.

We are using Kanban mode for an enhancement project setup in Jira.

so we dont want team to modify anything but able to creae subtasks and log hours against it.

Create a new role such as "developer worklog only" and add that to the permission scheme, giving it "browse project", "create issue" and "log work" only.

You can't limit people to issue types though.
