following situation: We have a JSM-project and x further projects (JSW/JSM, doesn't matter). In the JSM-project there is a custom field "Linked Project" (text, dropdown) with values A-F (each of them 1:1 assigned to a project). Furthermore an email address is assigned to the projects.
In an automation I want to access both information, the project and the email, based on the custom field "Linked Project". Do you have any idea how to get it? (To make it more concrete: The automation creates a linked issue in the specific project and sends an email to the assigned address.)
I was thinking about assets. With assets I can store the information key (A-F), project and email. The problem: In Data Center I only have access to the key, the summary and the name of the asset-object in automation.
I also was thinking about "lookup issues" - e.g. I have a Jira issue for each project, with custom fields "email address" and "assigned project". The problem: In automation I don't have access to custom fields in lookup issues.
Maybe there is a simple solution...?
