Is it possible to have 2 Confluence spaces linked on the same Jira project?

Andrea Hardy May 16, 2022

Is it possible to link the Client Portal to a particular Confluence space that is client facing only and link the project the Client Portal is on to another confluence space? Basically is it possible to have 2 Confluence spaces linked on the same Jira project while taking into consideration one confluence space would be external (for clients) and the other would be internal (employees)? The goal is to reestablish a link between our internal knowledge base articles within our tickets for employee use. Currently this link is turned off because external clients were able to see internal knowledge base articles for all clients, not just for their own company. If it is not possible to have 2 confluence spaces linked on the 1 project – would Insights be able to provide a “work around” solution?

@Andrea Hardy

On Jira Service Management Server you can only link one knowledge base (Confluence Space).  You can create page restrictions in the Confluence Space so that only your internal team can see certain articles.  This is what we do.  It allows the customers to search articles that we want them to see but provide additional articles to the service desk team as they triage issues.  These articles can not be shared with the customer and are marked with a red lock when they appear internally to service desk agents.
