How to set default value of an attribute in Asset Management

I am trying to figure out if there is a way to set a default value for an attribute in our Insight Schema (renamed to Asset Management I believe).

For example, I need to set the default value of Total Cost to 0, or an Archived Field to False as the default.

But this is to set a custom field, and what is needed is to set an attribute.

You are correct, I need to be able to set a default value for an attribute to eliminate nulls for example in a Total Cost attribute (due to user error) or automatically set Archived fields to False for new objects.

Reading your question am I right that you want a default value within your Insight/Assets schema? (So not a default value on an Insight custom field)

If that's so I'm afraid that's not possible.

For the Cloud product there are 2 issues that are in the suggestions
