Dear Jira Asset Community,
I am faced with the challenge of building an information network in Jira Assets as part of an ISO 27001 certification. So I want to reference the business processes to the required applications, which in turn reference the associated systems. I would like to collect the applications used in the company using the Agent Scanner from Asset Discovery. The results of the agent scanner present me with the following problem with the applications. An incredible number of objects are found for each client. For example, for the 7-zip application I get the two objects “7-Zip 23.01 (x64 edition)” and “7-zip File Manager CTX”. For Citrix, for example, you get eight different objects (Web Helper, Workspace (DV), ...). However, I would like to have only one object for each application, which I can then link to the associated business process and system.
Do you have a solution or a best practice approach for this?
Thank you,
Jörg Riebschläger
In Assets object schema setup, one can just create one object and associate it with multiple attributes (i.e. application tags) setup. Take a look at the documentation link for how to properly setup an object schema -

Hope this helps.
