Fill in field on issue based on user

Hello.

We have 2 location in my company, and it would be usefull to be able to quickly check which location a reporter belongs to when they create a issue.

Is there any way to import a value "Location" from Active Directory (we sync users from there) and then based on this value add a field in all issues that includes that information?

@roger_alling Yes this can be done through workflow.

You need to do changes in all workflow adding post function before the ticket is open.

First you need to prepare a custom filed. Location and add all the location names same in AD.

Deviniti [Active Directory Attributes Sync] - Copy property value to customfield
This postfunction copies user property to customfield:
Location of Reporter to Location

this way you can do your requirement easily.
