Export records with special characters in CSV without mistakes

Hello Atlassian Support! I create this ticket because I don't have a solution for this problem.

I would like to export some records which contains some special characters (For example: ñ, @ or words with accents like "camión" ) in CSV format. The problem is that when I open the csv's document this special characters look like (In yellow)WhatsApp Image 2023-04-20 at 14.43.10.jpeg

I was looking for some solution for this problem I could find that I must export the document with "UTF-8" format but when I export the records I don´t have this choice only I can choose a delimiter

Is there any way to export the document with format "UTF-8" directly? Have I got change something in Jira's configuration? Or How this problem can be resolved?

Please If you need more information, let me konw.

I hope an answer. Thanks!

Hi tomas, I see some related tickets for Atlassian to work on:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-77924

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-64191

If those tickets aren't the issue, (they're darn close) and if you can recreate the issue and exporting to HTML isn't a valid option, I would recommend opening a ticket with support.

Thanks for your answer. It resolved the problem.

@tomas nicolas boltin -

You can try export using the HTML format, then you can open the file in Excel.

Lastly, you have asked this question in the community forum and not directly for Atlassian Support.  If you want to contact Atlassian Support, then you need to use (https://support.atlassian.com) to file your support request.

Hope this helps.

Perfect! Now, I can see the "special characters" in the correct form.

Thank you so much.
