Disable Attachment from Email Requests

Aashutosh Kumar December 4, 2020

Hello,

I want to disable any attachments from being created which are coming via Email Channel in Project X of Jira Service Desk.
But when sending email with attachment to the email address used to set up Email Channel, Attachment is being added to the ticket.

  • Removed Create Permission from Project Permission Scheme
  • Remove Attachment field from Get IT Help (Request type used for Email Requests).
  • Allow Attachment ON in Global level, but disabled in Project X Permission Scheme.

Can someone please provide a solution for this.

Thanks for the answer, but my requirement was to disable attachments when created by email.
If some agent adds any attachment, then that will be also deleted by your automation rule.

only the attachments named 'image.png' that is the name i've observed it's created for the HTML signature emails

@Aashutosh Kumar  In standard incoming mail handler is not provided.

You can think about JEMH, Jeti incoming mail handlers
