Hi !

We recently pluged our HR data on Assets for JSM.

It allows us to have a lot of information for our users.

1- For instance we have now the OU of each user available as an asset.
We created an asset custom field (read only), to be able to know on each issue the OU of the assignee.
It is working as expected for the new issues.
But it seems that this value is updated only when the issue itself is updated.
So for all the issue existing before, the field is not set. An indexation is not solving the problem.

Do you have any idea how to get this field updated for all the issue ?

2- Based on the OU assets, it could be very useful for us to create and maintain specifics CROWD groups or Organisation for JSM.
It will help to share content across Services or Department.

Do you ever have done such a thing ?

Thanks a lot !

Hi Patrice,

We have a similar need. We have a kind of User object type in Assets and a custom field of type Assets readonly object. We have added this field to the View screen of a project and we would like to make it displayed on all existing issues, without having to update all of them.

I have not found a way to do that, so far. I have tried to raise an Issue Updated event (with the help of Script Runner plugin) on those issues, but it was unsuccessful. I have raised a support ticket and wait for any clue provided by Atlassian.

Please, keep us posted if you find anything.

Hello,

We are investigating a solution for this as well.
If Atlassian creates a change request, or if they provide a solution, could you share it ?

Best regards,
